Illuzion 1st Friday Party Collaboration by Snic and Doshworld

What an amazing time it was to watch these two artists crush this piece out. This collaboration brings together Snic Barnes amazing sculpting abilities with Doshworld's unique "cut and flip" sections. The piece is mainly constructed using the color "Jackpot." Some of the cut and flip scraps were later made into amazing electroformed pendants. If you've never had the opportunity to attend an Illuzion Glass Galleries' First Friday event or any of our events, you need to remedy that by joining us at our next one. These parties feature demonstrations by some of the industry's top glass artists and bring the glass community together even closer. Being able to see their talents executed firsthand is something you should not pass up. These artists will create pieces right in front of your eyes as you watch them in the studio through the gallery's viewing window. Snic Barnes draws inspiration from technological advancement, urban decay, and natural environments. Having gained much acclaim for his electro-forming techniques as a mixed media pipe-maker, his recent body of work focuses back to his roots in the glass medium. Incorporating new color pallets, transparent glass blending techniques, and color experiments into his new body of work, the artist has found himself reinvigorated through showcasing the diversity in his skill sets.

Chris has created a beautiful cut and flip technique, a style that is both instantly recognizable and quite difficult to recreate. While so many other artists do their best to repackage their older work, Chris sets out to create a new world of his own. One of the most generous and loving artist in the industry, he puts his heart into every one of his creations. With over ten years of experience on the torch, Chris has seen the transformation of the industry from underground art scene to the burgeoning marketplace of today.
